False & Malicious Publicity Campaign against the Bank.
In the wake of a recent development, a false & malicious publicity campaign has been unleashed in the print & electronic media against Sindh Bank Ltd. The management therefore deems it appropriate to clarify for the benefit of all stakeholders, particularly its worthy customers, that the misinformation is being spread with a negative angle to malign a public sector bank, with a relatively successful track record, both in business and branch network. Through this communication, we assure our stakeholders, customers and public at large, that the Government of Sindh being the sole owner is fully committed to provide the needed financial resources to support the Bank in meeting all regulatory requirements laid down by the State Bank of Pakistan. While an equity injection of Rs. 3.7 billion has already been made in June 2019, another Rs. 7.5 billion will be added before the year end. In all, the Government of Sindh has committed to strengthen capital base of the Bank by an amount of Rs. 14.7 billion by June 2020. Bank’s Medium to Long Term Credit Rating stands at A+ (A plus) and Short Term at A-1 (A-One) with a STABLE outlook. All financial indicators are pointing towards the right direction and there should be nothing to worry about. The Bank enjoys a comfortable liquidity position to meet any eventuality and there is nothing to worry about the safety of Customers’ Deposits.
